The subscription-based program intends to provide additional and exclusive benefits and regular cashback offers to attract more user base and maintain active users.

Paytm is keen to provide rewards and benefits spanning across video and music streaming, food and travel, shopping and lifestyle. The company has partnered with leading players from their respective verticals during the initial launch phase itself,

The loyalty service will provide users with a Zomato Gold membership, an annual subscription for Sony Liv, Gaana, a ViU subscription, an Eros Now membership, and benefits on Uber along with Uber Eats.

Further benefits include a cashback of Rs 100 on the purchase of the subscription, priced at Rs 750 a year, besides, cashbacks and offers on movie tickets and Paytm Mall.

Paytm conveyed through Twitter that Paytm First customer selection would be random, based on their usage pattern.

The company aims to get over three million subscribers within the first year of Paytm First launch.

Besides, if rumors are to be believed, Paytm might launch its own OTT service as well. That would mean a direct competition to global giants such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and local streaming services Hotstar, Eros Now, and JioTV.
